Throughout life’s journey, we may veer off in many different directions on the compass of our lives, never realizing that all points of light are leading to one place, and possibly one’s “soul” purpose. We both have had many points during our passage that led us to consider owning the Lodge... Back in the day, Don had extensive training in culinary arts when he was chef at Ken's Steakhouse, Cafe V. With a degree in business and finance, he changed careers to banking. He retired from 26 years at Brown Brothers Harriman, the oldest and largest partnership bank in America, where he was Senior Vice President and Division Executive. During the past 26 years, Jacqui has had many passions, first being a mother of two wonderful sons. She is skilled as an interior designer and space planner and had her own business in redesign for residential and business space. For many years, she worked at one of New England’s largest garden centers learning, studying and selling plants, trees and shrubs. For the past ten years she also studied culinary arts where she was a personal cook catering to large groups for lunches and dinners. “From journey's beginning to end, and somewhere in the middle, all points lead home. For us, we are two people who have design, business and financial skills, we are both trained in cooking, and we were both ready at the same time in life to take a leap of faith toward a different journey. Our compass has led us here, to the IVY LODGE, and we are but mere stewards to this home and its history.
