Week long events, called Restaurant Week , that showcase local restaurant offerings at reasonable, affordable prices is a nationwide movement. Newport Restaurant Week began in 2006 as a Fall event (this year November 2-11, 2018) that has since expanded to include a much welcome Spring Restaurant Week. This year Newport Spring Restaurant Week occurs March 2-11 providing a launch into the emerging new season with tempting creations from over 50 restaurants in Newport and Bristol counties.
Participating establishments offer a 3 course, prix fixe lunch for $16 and dinner s for $35. Top rated, award winning restaurants of Aquidneck Island and the Bristol area seek to encourage visitors and residents alike to come and “experience the deep culinary talent of Newport and Bristol counties” affordably.
